I’m super-excited today! The last of the D&D adventure board games have arrived at our doorstep. We already owned Wrath of Ashardalon, as you may have noticed from the numerous miniature painting posts here on my blog. And we’d also gotten the Temple of Elemental Evil. Now, we are the proud owners of The Legend of Drizzt and Castle Ravenloft!
To commemorate this experience, I’ve taken the liberty of photographing all four of the boss “miniatures” together. (I say “miniatures” in quotes, because these really are large minis. The Balor is nearly six inches across! He’s massive, especially if you put him in a D&D game next to ordinary, medium-sized minis.)
Obviously it’s going to take me quite a while to paint all of these minis. And I haven’t even finished Wrath of Ashardalon, yet. But, I have nearly all of the minis I need to run the Lost Mine of Phandelver campaign with minis instead of standees just from all of these D&D board games (save a few oddballs like the Nothic, and large groups of zombies and skeletons).
Anyway, just wanting to share my excitement! I can’t wait to share more as I continue my painting of all of these minis. Hopefully I can pick up the painting pace a bit again.
